The Houston Child Guidance was for many years a Houston institution, treating children and families with mental health issues. Through an association with the Houston Independent School District developed an in-school program. The need for more facility drove this addition to the existing campus. The ne facility added classrooms, clinical rooms, offices and a half-court basketball gym. The site contained numerous old live oak trees which had to be avoided in planning and treated before construction.
