Replacement Hospital*

Milwaukee, Wisconsin

This 9-story 600-bed replacement hospital culminated years of planning and design, moved the original Milwaukee Catholic hospital across the street to expand and replace all functions. Four floors of new departments, operating suites, clinics, offices, and a new emergency department sit under 5 floors of bed tower. The hospital is located on the Lake Michigan shore adjacent to Milwaukee’s historic North Point Water Tower. The angular bed tower responds to this landmark’s location and views to the lake. The development also included a new doctor’s office building north of the original hospital.
