Methodist Hospital desired to expand its Sugar Land campus and acquired land to the north of their existing campus. Master planning began by programming the needs of the hospital and avenues to let growth happen organically over time. The campus was also expanding programs such as mental health and cancer treatment facilities. The New 400-bed hospital contained new departments, operating suites, clinics, hospital offices, and a new emergency department on two levels with the bed towers above. The towers are connected a large atrium space.
