The Science City Design Competition was visualized as a full range museum and interactive laboratory of science learning. The site, located in Pune, India, has a very difficult terrain with deep valleys and sharp hills, distributing the master plan into numerous pieces. The design follows this approach with each partial site becoming a series of hubs along a long pathway up the hill. The individual hubs included pods focused on the natural sciences, astronomy, physics, transportation and flight, the history of science and the complex’s hotel and conference center. The central pathway strings through each hub with plazas and courts. An electric tram follows the same path. Designed in association with Bose International.
