University of Texas San Antonio Main Building*

San Antonio, Texas

The University of Texas Board of Regents wanted to expand the UTSA campus with a new administration and faculty office building. This building had to reflect the modern buildings on campus but also the Italianate structures in the core of the UT main campus in Austin. The design stretches the program into an L-shaped structure, creating a multi-level courtyard entry. The design set the standard for future campus projects for the next 20 years. The facility contains faculty offices, a conference center, executive offices and board room, two large lecture halls and multipurpose classrooms.

*The project was designed by Warren Johnson while Vice President at HOK Houston.
