Fly Ranch, near Gerlach, Nevada is the home of the Burning Man Festival. Burning Man is a week-long large-scale desert event focused on "community, art, self-expression, and self-reliance" held annually near Gerlach. The event's name comes from its culminating ceremony: the burning of a large wooden effigy, referred to as the Man, that occurs on the Saturday evening before Labor Day. Billionaires mix with common people from all over America. The buildings shown are a proposal to create more permanent structures for art, registration and offices, sustainable agriculture and retail and supplies for the festival-goers.
