Greenway Plaza Courtyard Renovation

Greenway Plaza is a 13-tower mixed-use campus in Houston, Texas. The existing central area is a podium with Food Hall under three of the office towers and the existing hotel. This project as shown is the first phase of the culmination of years of planning. The goal was to activate the existing sunlit courtyard between buildings 3, 4 and 5 into an activity hub that could be used by Occidental Petroleum (Oxy), their major tenant, employees on a daily basis.  Eventually the plaza would connect with the recently renovated Food Hall below with a series of pop-up glazed connectors. Phase One, shown here, includes new canopies, food prep and sports areas. It also includes renovations to the courtyard paving and fountains. This renovation also expanded to the courtyard between buildings 9 and 11 with similar construction.
